Consortium

Consortium of Independent SchoolsThe North American Consortium of Independent Schools offers schools a coordinated and inexpensive solution for diversifying student bodies. Specializing in Russia, Eurasia and other emerging market countries with economies and roles in the international community that are growing, the Consortium exists to help schools enroll full-tuition paying students, or, if desired, scholarship students uniquely talented in the performing or visual arts.

Summer programs as well as short term programs are also promoted through the Consortium in order to persuade families from emerging markets to visit our school even for relatively short periods of time. This is based on the premise that the more students that visit North American schools even for short periods of time the greater number of students that will ultimately enroll in our schools for academic-year programs.

The Consortium was launched is July 2005 as the American and Canadian Consortium of Independent Schools. It specializes in Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine, with its representational office in Moscow and a solid network of partners throughout Eurasia.

The general strategy of the Consortium is to present North American independent education as a viable option for families in emerging market countries. We offer parents a clear alternative to the schools of Great Britain, Anglo-American schools worldwide, and of course local private schools, whose promotional efforts over the past several years have exceeded those of North American schools. We strive to provide families with a streamlined application process and all information needed to fully understand and feel comfortable sending their children overseas for study.
